NADA asks federations to monitor needle usage among athletes

The National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) has pressurised national sports associations to implement a no-needle policy for all its athletes going forward. The agency has asked federations to set up a committee which should monitor the usage of needles. A policy, implemented during the 2018 Commonwealth Games allows only those athletes with Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) to use needles and only under the supervision of qualified medical personnel.
