Indian chess body removes restrictive undertaking

The restrictive undertaking that players had to give when registering themselves with the All India Chess Federation (AICF) has been discarded. This process sought to comply with the Competition Commission of India's order. This has, however, not gone down well with players Karun Duggal and Gurpreet Pal Singh who were banned and stripped of their FIDE rating for alleged participation in unauthorised tournaments.
