Former cricketer assaulted by gun-wielding goons

Amit Bhandari, a former cricketer, was on Monday assaulted by a dozen people during a training session of the Delhi team ahead of the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy at the St Stephen's ground. The police arrested a local U-23 cricketer, Anuj Dedha after suspecting his involvement in the incident. Bhandari was a right arm pace bowler for Delhi during his playing days and played two One Day Internationals (ODIs) for India as well.
